The phoenix is described as a mythical bird that never dies and flies with its great beauty far ahead to the front. The bird is also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal and invincible - immune to death; it is a symbol of fire and divinity. It has a 500 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. It creates intense excitement and deathless inspiration.
One day not too long ago I started seeing the word phoenix and then a vision of the bird everywhere. I kept having the vision for about a week. I finally started to research the definition and found myself being captivated by the symbols and pictures of this creature, bird, powerful being.
As I read more and more I felt a connection, a sense of pride for such a thing that has shown such survival-life. By the end of the week I had created a logo around it and my new name was the phoenix girl for I feel it epitomizes who I am in my life which has been a series of endings and new beginnings. Determined to never truly be defeated, to rise above, and to be never ending always hoping to inspire and excite others as well as myself to purely Live Life Fully.
In flight and In life,
Dottie
